A small jewel located just across the north
Carolina border is a three square mile city
called Tega Cay. Located just 20 miles south
of Charlotte, Teag Cay, a Polynesian phrase
meaning "Beautiful Peninsula," sits
on 13 miles of shoreline. Its rugged topography
and dense woods of oaks, maples, and pines,
makes for some breathtaking views of Lake
Wylie. This close-knit recreational community
of just over 4,500 people is operated by
an active volunteer constituency.
Tega Cay students attend the highly awarded
Fort Mill Schools, considered the best in
South Carolina. The city is served by its
own police force, a Recreation Director,
City Manager, Mayor and four elected at-large
City Council members.
Recreational opportunities abound in Tega
Cay, with a 27 hole golf course, four waterfront
parks, four playgrounds, baseball and soccer
fields, miles of walking and bike trails,
eight lighted tennis courts, a beach, large
marina and 3 boat launching areas. The community
plans several big events each year that makes
this small town a desirable place in which
to live.

will be happy to show you more about Tega
Cay and any available homes.
